5 Things that made me happy this week! 26/11/17

This past week hasn't been the best for most people of Anglesey and North Wales as we had some of the worst floods happen over night. Streets and houses were flooded, fire engines called to pump out water and sand bags were in shortage, whilst other people had difficulty getting home (some people I know even spent the night in work). River banks were burst in many parts of Anglesey, but despite all this chaos I still managed to keep a positive head on and reflect on what made me happy this week.

1. Having time off work. Who isn't happy when they have 1 less day of work to do in the week. Although it was only a day, sometimes it's needed to either get on top of things you have going on or to just spend the day recharging.

2.Getting creative with my own rice pudding recipe! I love rice pudding in the winter but it was hard to find a recipe that kept it simple and basic, so I decided to try and make up my own. wasn't a bad first attempt but still needs a bit of work.

3. Friday Family Fun Night! Jodie and I love Friday nights cause its the only night in the week where we can stay up late. Sometimes it stretches to a Fat Friday where we get a takeaway for tea, but this Friday was a games night! Guess Who being the game of the night.

4. My first Christmas Card. Upon picking Jodie up from nursery after work, she was finishing off what I thought was a picture. It was actually a Christmas card she had made, address to myself and Olaf! (Pictured below)

5. Chill crafting day. After our usual lazy Saturday morning consisting of a bacon sandwich and a Cup of tea whilst watching Grand Designs on catch up (Jodie's choice!), Jodie had the taste for card making. We dug out her craft supplies and spent a couple of hours cards cutting out shapes from paper and foam to make more Christmas related cards.

The Christmas card Jodie made me!
