Plans moving forward! Step by Step Action Plan

January is coming to a close (and yes it's felt like the longest January ever!), and I am so eager to get on with my plans for the rest of the year!

This year, January has literally been my trial month. I've taken this past month quite slowly and enjoyed my time and extra money now Christmas has been and gone! I booked a week off work as we don't get the luxury of having time off work over the festive season (hospitality, I'm looking at you!), so it's been exactly what I've needed to step back, relax, and to re-evaluate what I want from 2019!

And to be honest, after such an amazing year last year, I have such a buzz to make this year better, not only for myself but also for my family!

This year is a huge one in terms of birthdays as many of my family members and friends hit those important mile stones, the double digits 10, 30 and 50! My predictions are that this year is going to be quite costly, but oh so worth it and I honestly cant wait!

I have so many ideas on what I want to do for each celebration, but I'm also conflicted if it might be too much/ too expensive to do everything I want to do.

If you are like me, and have so much that you want to accomplish but don't know where to start, I invite you to follow me on the steps I will be taking to achieve my own goals through this year, to make it the best year yet for all of us!

Action Plan:

Brain Dump

So the first step of this plan is to have a brain dumping session. This is where you write down everything that's in your head that you want/ need to do in any which manor. The point of this is not to make a to-do list. It's merely to clear your mind of all the thought-clutter and to put them on to paper. That way you can see what it is you want to do, and then you can go on and sort each item into their designated category.

Vision Board

Once all your thoughts have been categorised, a great visual representation to help you stay motivated about all your goals is to make a vision board. Vison boards are so easy and fun to make. You can make a vison board physically, digitally or both! The point of a vision board is to keep it where you can see it so you can be constantly reminded of what it is you are striving to achieve!

For your vision board all you need are pictures (either printed off the internet or cut from magazines) that reflect your desires and what it is that you want, or even motivational quotes! Stick them on to your board and Voila, its as simple as that! You can have a glimpse of your future hanging on your wall waiting for you to take action on it to make it come true!

Plan

The final step of the process is to really plan out how to execute your goals. You might have a couple of goals that you might be able to multi-plan (plan a couple of things at the same time) if they are at different times or even quite different to each other i.e. Holiday vs weekend activity.

This is usually the step where the reality of finances might set in, so be prepared to start budgeting and sacrificing those take outs and nights out if you are truly serious about setting out and achieving your goals.

I'll be the first to admit that even taking the baby steps can be hard and it only get challenging the more you continue until you reach that goal. But as they say, Something that's worth having doesn't come easy, and it's 100% true!

I will always talk about my experiences in such a positive manner because they were truly amazing, but what made them that bit more special, is all the hard work that happened behind the scenes in the run up to that event. You have such a satisfying feeling knowing you worked your socks off to get to where you are.

However I will always be open and honest of what it was actually like and the reality of how hard it was. From budgeting money, missing out on events, planning and prepping every meal to save every penny that I could to put it in my Pot of Dreams.

As much as I want you to live the life of your dreams and help you plan your way to it, I still want to keep grounded as to what the reality is and to enjoy the journey.

If this has been helpful to you, I'd love to know so please leave a comment below! I'd love to know what you are working towards this year and to make your life that bit more exciting and one step closer to where you want to be!

Stay kind and Be Beautiful
