In the last few weeks, I've been pretty quiet across all my interactive platforms. I've not posted at all here, on my blog, or on Instagram, and only a couple of times on my Facebook page. I wanted to share with you why this was and what I've been getting up to during this muted period.
So in the past month I'd say, I have felt a shift within myself and what I've been drawn to do and what to focus on in my future. I've had a bit of a reflective moment on a grander scale than usual and I've thought about what it is that I actually want to change to help me become a better person and enhance my life that bit more.
When explaining my grand plans to a friend of mine, she asked me if I was bored. I wasn't sure at what she meant at first but she went on to ask if I was bored with life. To be brutally honest with myself, yes, I am bored. I'm living the same routine and lifestyle each and everyday, nothing much changing, and working a full time job but never feeling accomplished.
I had even started a bullet journal this year because I thought, if I had a system to plan and execute everything I had to do, I'd feel like I was accomplishing things, getting shit done and maybe actually adulting. At first it was a great idea but I failed to carry it on as I realised after a few months, I was doing the same shit but on a different day, with only the odd birthday to remember here n there. I mean how depressing is that?! But It's been this way for years and obviously its not doing me any good, so a change is needed so I can get to where I want to be!
So I've made the decision to commit to myself to improve my way of life. To hopefully priorities my wellbeing and to be happier within myself in the next year! It's not something I'm starting on January 1st though. I've already started! I've started now so by the time I ring in the New Year I'll (hopefully) be in a healthier state of mind to push me forward and to keep going. I've only made minor adjustments so far, but they've already started to pay off!
I'm so excited for what's to come in the new year and feel so positive for the future! I'll hopefully be reworking the site a bit, changing my post schedules and hopefully be able to help out all you lovelies along the way!
